Proclamation of Accession - The Original. This is the original handwritten Proclamation of Accession of Queen Elizabeth the Second, printed copies of which were read in various parts of London to-day (Friday). This original is pictured at the House of Lords, London. It is signed by "the Lords Spiritual and Temporal of this Realm, being here assisted with these of His late Majesty's Privy Council, with representatives of other members of the Commonwealth, with other Principal Gentlemen of Quality, with the Lord Mayor, Aldermen and Citizens of London..." In the original the signatures were continued onto another sheet. The second signature is that of Mr. Winston Churchill, the Prime Minsiter. February 8, 1952.

Their souvenirs were picked as the "prize winners" among the 800-odd articles already approved by the Coronation Souvenirs Committee of the Council of Industrial Design. A Coronation Loving Cup, of which only a thousand are being made, is here being admired by 22-year-old Margaret Timmis, a figure artist, at the Royal Doulton Potteries, Burslem, Staffordshire. A Robe of Crimson velvet, trimmed with miniver pure, two inches in width, similar in style to a Kirtle, but without sleeves and with the addition of a cape also of miniver pure and shaped like a cape collar, finishing in two points in front of the waist. The Cape is to have rows or bars if ermine tails ( or the like) as follows. A Viscountess - two rows and a half of ermine tails. December 09, 1952.

Queen Juliana will see Coronation Robe -- This Coronation robe will on view to Queen Juliana of the Netherlands when she attends a dress show tomorrow (Saturday). It is modelled here by Miss Margaret Du Cane at the Sloane Street (London) salon of Mr. Herbert Sidon, the Dutch fashion designer, whose creations will be shown in Amsterdam tomorrow and Sunday.
