Community Listening Experiments In The Gold Coast - The moat distant village in the Gold Coast will soon be in close contact with the capital if the present experiments with community listening sets prove successful. These community listening sets are designed in the form of a kiosk, a modern-looking structure built of reinforced concrete with slatted woolen front standing same six feet high. Inside is a dry battery short wave receiving set with a specially made loudspeaker horn designed to give good audibility to a crawl of 50 people. From Britain's Westminster Abbey -- A big nationwide search is going on to find the historic coronation stone which was stolen on Christmas morning from tinder the Coronation chair in London's Westminster Abbey, where it had rested for 650 years. Scottish nationalists are suspected. The stone was used for crowning Scottish kings for 400 years before 1296, when King Edward I brought it to London. The scene of the crime. The stone was stolen from the Coronation Chair(on right). Newly carved initials J.F.S. on the chair may be a clue. One suggestion is that the initials stand for Justice for Scotland. The 336-lb stone was dragged through the door loading to Poet's Corner(left). December 27, 1950.
