A number of flying boats for use in various parts of the world are under construction at Short Bros. and Harland's huge factory at Belfast. They include Short Solents for B.O.A.C., and Short Sandringhams for Tasman Airways (Australia and New Zealand route) and Norwegian Air Lines (D.N.L) for the Oslo-Kirkenes service. November 27, 1947.
