Bat nesting boxes monitored by the Association Chauves-souris Auvergne - Forêt de Troncais. The Association Chauves-souris Auvergne, in partnership with the ONF, is working to protect bats. The association has installed lightweight concrete nesting boxes that are not too heavy to hang up and provide thermal protection inside. These nesting boxes enable us to monitor some of the twenty or so bats present in the Forêt de Troncais. The Forêt de Troncais is considered to be one of the most beautiful oak forests in Europe. It was awarded the Forêt d'Exception label in 2018. This label is a guarantee of excellence. France
