Mrs Emmy Sullivan (aged 39) empties a pig bin into her dustcart or barrow outside the Court Dining and Tea Rooms on the corner of Gray's Inn Road. Painted on the side of the wall of the Dining Rooms are the words 'Excellent Cooking, Quick Service, Moderate Prices'. The dust barrow has two sections: one for rubbish and one for salvage. Mrs Sullivan and her colleagues, also visible at work around her, are from the St Pancras Women's Cleaning Brigade. Also visible are a policeman on his bicycle to the left of the photograph.
