Mermaid In Fight At The Chelsea Arts Ball -- Miss Beryl Brian, before the scramble, being assisted on to the tableaux by John Luddington.Fighting broke out among the students at the Chelsea Arts Ball in the Albert Hall, London. Carnival tableauxs were wrecked and 20 year old Miss Beryl Brian, wearing a long fish tail and tissue paper tresses who appeared on the set presented by the Hatherley School of Art, Westminster, was dragged from the set by students who pulled off her imitation tresses and seaweed, yanked off her mermaids tail and dragged her off the tableaux.
