Door Knocker, She County, temple and carved stone archways

The Battersea Shield, is a significant pieces of ancient Celtic art found in Britain. It is a sheet bronze covering of a (now vanished) wooden shield, decorated in La Tene style. dated to c.350-50 BC, though later dates up to the early 1st century AD have previously been suggested. Found in the River Thames in London in 1857, during excavations for the predecessor of Chelsea Bridge; it is now thought that the shield was a votive offering, which probably predates the Roman invasion.

Leg Shackles and Chain were used to restrict the movement of criminals in 19th Century Dorchester Prison. The Tolpuddle Martyrs were six Dorset farm workers famously transported as convicts from Dorchester prison to Australia in 1834. They may well have worn shackles such as these.

Bottle with 'Garlic-Head' Mouth, 12th-13th century, 22 1/4 x 9 1/2 in. (56.5 x 24.1 cm), Tz'u-chou type ware Stoneware with 'cut-glaze' floral decoration, China, 12th-13th century, Distinguished by its large size and unique mouth, this storage vessel is an exceptional example of the brown-glazed stoneware manufactured during the Xixia kingdom (1022-1227) established in north China by Tangut invaders in the early 11th century. Excavation of ancient kilns during the 1980's near Lingwu in northern Ningxia province revealed the district to have been an important center of utilitarian glazed stoneware during the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. Related bottles from this district have been discovered in adjoining provinces of Kansu and Inner Mongolia.
