Alamein Memorial Now Nearing Completion -- The Alamein Memorial, which is being built by the Imperial War Graves Commission at the battlefield Cemetery in the Western Desert in Egypt, is now nearing completion. The Memorial has been constructed by the Imperial War Graves Commission to the design of Sir Hubert Worthington, O.B.E., A.R.A., and consists of a cloister on the northern side of the battlefield Cemetery at El Alamein in the Western Desert.
