Model of a Capstan, Baxter, c. 1870 - c. 1885 demonstration model Model of a capstan on a wooden ground board, incomplete. The capstan is on a bronze foot ring with a cable hole a side. The Cape Storge has a Brown-Hartfield cable holder edge; The holes for five wind trees are applied directly above this edge. The head can be screwed down with four flat wind trees, blocking the capstan. The model is equipped with a chain without end, which runs through the cable hole and up again around the hole racing.
