Paris General Strike And Mass Meetings -- A huge crowd making their way along the Cour de Vincennes, Paris, to attend the mass meetings in the Place de la Nation. It was designed to be an impressive feature of yesterday's 24 hours strike called by the French Labour Federations. Red Flags were displayed in profusion and numerous speeches were delivered but the noise made them inaudible. A very strong force of police prevented the crowd from making its way to the centre parts of the city after the meeting. March 26, 1934.
