Amateur actors perform a Sao Tomense play called 'Auto de Floripes'. The play is traditionally performed each year in August in the middle of Santa Antionio, on the island of Princip_. Sao Tom_ and Principe is Africa's second smallest country with a population of 193 000. It consists of two mountainous islands in the Gulf of New Guinea, straddling the equator, west of Gabon. Princip_ is the smaller of the two islands.
