Hurricane , UT , UNITED STATES,While enjoying a stroll on the pier in California recently, my husband and I were astounded at the number of fishermen (and women) lined shoulder to shoulder stretching from one end to the other. Fishing not for sport..but to put a meal on the table. It was difficult to get a shot of the hundreds lining the boardwalk for fear of being caught by an errant line. When asked what they hoped to catch, most were in agreement it would be mackerel. A sad commentary of
