ITALY. Source of the River Po. Pian del Re, vicinity Crissolo. During the summer, hundreds of vehicles from all over Northern Italy bring picnickers to the source of the Po. . They use the Pian del Re peat bog as a car park, destroying rare alpine flora and fauna. At sunset, when the last car is gone, the area will be covered with empty bottles, tin cans and litter.
