Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada, September 2008. Angel Glacier is a hanging glacier. Until the 1940s it connected to Cavell Glacier below it. It is fed by a cirque glacier that is not visible from the ground. It is so named because of it's 'angel wings' that stretch out to touch Mt Edith Cavell on the left and Sorrow Peak on the right. Each wing exceeds 60 metres in height.
