Young Australian Singer Gets Recording Contract -- Jim Parkinson and his wife Faye give a kiss to his first record.24-year-old Jim Parkinson, from Sydney, Australia, who arrived in this country with his charming newly wed wife Faye aged 23 only October last, has landed a contract with Columbia, for whom he will sing exclusively, his first record "All At Once" is being released on Saturday next. In his native Australia he has over 1,000 broadcasts to his credit and some 60 recordings. Since arriving here he has appeared with Ted Heath and Cyril Stapleton.
