Worth £18,000, two rare violins have been brought to Brisbane by Mr. Max Rostal, the British violinist. He is shown testing the strings of the 1697 Stradivarius before rehearsal yesterday. The other violin is the famous "Charles Read" Guarnerius del Gesu. Max Rostal will appear with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra to-night. April 26, 1955.
