World's Largest Oil Refinery Rises From Desert.Excavating for foundations alongside the cooling water lines.The building of the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company's new oil refinery here - largest oil refinery in the world - requires the pumping sahore of 5,500,000 cubic yards of Band; the moving of 2,000,000 cubic yards of earth; the quarrying of 1,500,000 tons of rock; the use of 30,000 tons of cement and 110,000 tons of steel.
