The Women's Voluntary Services Roll of Honor - Miss Claire Evans with the finished Roll of Honor of the Women's Voluntary Services. During the six years of war about 25,000 women were killed by enemy action in Britain. 241 of these were members of the Women's Voluntary Services. After the war, Miss Claire Evans, of Camberwell London, undertook to inscribe their name on vellum as a lasting Memorial.
