Wilhelm Kunde (b. 1904). SS-Hauptstumführer, Schutzstaffel (SS) officer in the German Reich Captain's Group. Kriminal-Sekretär in the criminal police department (Kripo), in Gestapo Sub-Section IV B-1 in the Kraków District. He was the spokesman for the SS and Gestapo on Jewish affairs. Kunde participated in the liquidation of the Kraków ghetto on 13 and 14 March 1943. In 1944, Kunde moved to Bremen, his hometown in northern Germany. After the war, in the 1970s, he was tried in West Germany. Kunde died of stomach cancer before the trial was over. Portrait.
