Water Buses For The Thames - One of the "Water Buses" pictured during a "trial run", when the Ministe of transport and members of the Commitee were passengers to-day (Wednesday).The six-member Thames passenger services Interest Committee, appointed by the Minister of Labour, announced to-day (Wednesday) that a service of "Water buses" will be inaugurated early in the summer. New boats constructed as pleasure craft during the past two years will be used they can carry between 150 and 170 passengers and new piers will be completed at Putney and Charing Cross for "bus stops". The route will operate between Tower Bridge and Putney, from 8 a.m. from 8 p.m. February 25, 1948.
