A Visit To Flores -- On Flores long hair is not distinguishing feature of women, as in many places the men wear their hair long. There is a difference in dress between the women and the men which is not the same all over the island. The men often rear scarves on their heads and a ''slendang" (like the Indian women's "sari'').
