Uni. students verse ***** Ballet sticks together. It is interesting to observe the fads and fashions that sweep the country from time to time for no apparent reason. You get bow ties, bebop, babble gum or split-tailed coats, but it's usually the younger bloods who succumb to them. Our hearths and-homes spy, however, tells us that the oldsters are falling for a new craze. Maybe they've been inspired by Sherlock Holmes, but whatever the cause, lots of suburban patriarchs are now going in for those rugged, large-bowled curved pipes, reputed to give a cool smoke, but which are not worn away from the fireside or with anything else but slippers.
