The Typist At The Trigger -- Miss Jessie Butts toady (Tuesday) leaves her desk in the Dagenham, Essex, offices of the Sterling Engineering Co. Ltd., to assist in a demonstration for the Press of the Sterling Sub-Machine Gun.The gun, which replaces the Sten Gun, has recently been adopted by the British Army as a supplementary weapon to the Belgian F.N. Rifle. It can be fired from hip, shoulder, or in emergency with one hand, in pistol fashion.Weighing only 6 lbs., it fires up to 575 rounds per minute, and is accurate and will kill at 200 yards.
