Two German airmen killed in the raid on the Firth of Forth in October 1939 are buried at Portobello Cemetery with full military honours. One of the coffins, draped with the Nazi emblem, is seen being borne to the graveside. Many RAF units in Scotland and England were represented and among the officers attending were a number of those who had actually taken part in the aerial battle. Date: 1939
