The repeating pattern consists of a middle line of concerted spits, between two rows of quadruple rosette flowers. Along the top and bottom edge a succession of half spitsavals runs. The motifs are connected by braids, which form the start of a Maas soil. The motifs are made in linen stroke with openwork edges. The short sides are double folded and stitched. The edge is probably cut out of a pillowcase, the upper and lower edge finish is damaged.
