Transatlantic Friendship -- Famous personalities at the Pilgrims' dinner at the Savoy Hotel, London, last night.The Pilgrims, founded in 1902 to foster Anglo-American goodwill, are a society for men only but a woman sat at a table screened off by flowers. She was Mrs. Ada Doyle, the Pilgrims' secretary. Left to rights:-Mr. John McCloy (U. S. High Commissioner for Germany) whowas the guest: of honour, Sir Campbell Stuart (Chairman), Mr. Lewis Douglas (the U.S Ambassador) who is still wearing a shade over his eye which was injured in a fishing accident, and Field-Marshal Viscount Montgomery, who is wearing his blue uniform with seven rows of medal ribbons.
