The Town Hall in Croydon (now called the Croydon Clocktower) in Katherine Street, opened in 1896 by the then Prince and Princess of Wales, later Edward VII and Alexandra who arrived by train at West Croydon station and processed via North End and the High Street to the Town Hall. The building was designed by Charles Henman. Date: 1896
