The B-24D weighs 56,000 pounds loaded , can carry four tons of bombs and has a 110-foot wing spread. The four 1,200-horsepower Pratt & Whitney engines propel the plane at better than 300 milks an hour. The craft has a casing range in excess of 3,000 miles. May 26, 1941.
