Los Angeles, hooked to the new portable mooring mast, leaves the hangar here as the mast is drawn gut upon the field by a tractor preparatory to testing the new facilities which the new apparatus offers for landing as well as launching. The portable mast passed the test satisfactorily and is said to mark a real development in hangar equipment since it greatly decreases the number of men required to assist in the "take-off."
