The television system developed by the (John Logie) Baird Television Co Ltd, which, along with the Marconi-E.M.I. Television Company system, was tested by the B.B.C. with a view to establishing a London television station. By February 1937, the B.B.C. had ceased using the Baird system, partly due to the lack of mobility of the cameras. Date: 1935
