The supreme moment of the Crowning of Queen Elizabeth II. The Archbishop of Canterbury receiving the Crown of St. Edward from the Dean of Westminster, placed it reverently upon the Queen's head. As she was crowned the congregation shouted, "God Save the Queen;" peers and peeresses put on their coronets, Kings of Arms their crowns, and a fanfare of trumpets was sounded.
