Students at Ascension Community High School begin their first day of classes at their newly renovated school. Renovation of the school was just completed by U.S. military and Guyana Defense Force's engineers in a cooperative effort during the first combined humanitarian and civic assistance exercise conducted between the United States and Guyana. Military personnel from the Air Force, Air Force Reserve and National Guard, Army, Army National Guard and Marine Corps participated in the exercise which included engineering and medical readiness training.
