The Queen Mary, also Delayed, is seen in background.There were scenes of jubilation aboard the Cunard White Star liner Queen Elizabeth at Southampton today (Thursday) when it was announced that, owing to the end of the New York Dock Strike, the vessel may sail on Sunday. The liner has todate been delayed sailing for 8 days. The good news, coming on American Thanksgiving Day, cheered up the passengers, many of whom, on previously being told they just leave the liner, had staged a "sit-down" strike.
