The depiction shows the large hall of the Kloveniersdoelen with all those present and spectators. The participants in the synod are indicated with numbers, but the corresponding legend is missing in this copy. The Latin title, which is placed above the depiction, the engraver's dedication to Prince Maurits and the ode by Lansberg are also missing. The print is accompanied by a verse by Jacob Cats from 1619 entitled 'Ghedicht Op de Gedenck-waardige Nationale Synode, houden tot Dordrecht, Anno 1618. ende 1619'.
