Woman, seen from the front, standing in a cartouche, decorated with a folding fan at the top and a wrinkled strip of fabric around it. She is dressed in an open japon with Engagantes and a skirt with Falbala. A range in the right hand. To her feet a pillow with hairpins and two lying putti. On either side of the cartouche two small medallions with portraits, and a walking stick and (ornamental) swords as an ornament. The print is part of a series of five costume prayers entitled Les Modes du Mercure de France, 1726-1730.
