Standing Female Saint ca. 1510 Hans von Reutlingen German This finely worked figure appears to have come from the immense bust reliquary of Saint Lambert commissioned by the prince-bishop Erard de La Marck for the now-destroyed cathedral of Saint Lambert in Liège. Created by the Aachen goldsmith Hans von Reutlingen and his workshop beginning in 1508, it was consecrated on April 22, 1512. The left hand of the crowned female figure is also missing, together with her other attribute, making it impossible to determine whether she represents the Virgin, a royal, or a martyred female saint..
