Squalus Comes Up And Sinks Again -- The bow of the ill-fated submarine Squalus rearing out of the waters off the isles of Shoals for one brief moment, July 13th, before sinking to the bottom again with her cargo of 26 dead and bringing to naught the seven weeks of dangerous work of salvage. Suddenly breaking the surface of the water as the lifting operation was started, the Squalus broke away from the salvage crews and plummeted back to her grave on the grave on the bottom, 240 feet below.
