Not So Meek In Meek Street -- A contretemps in Meek-street. This driver is one of several who attempted to pass Meek-Street's "Iron Curtain" and ran into trouble. Children of Meek-street, Chelsea, S.W., have lost patience with motorists who do not comply with official notices making the street a " play-only " area, and are taking steps to enforce the ruling. Meek-street and other roads nearby are legally Closed to all but calling vehicles, but motorists often drive through to avoid congestion at King's road traffic lights. August 04, 1948.
