Sampler worked in rococo or bundle stitch with colored silk on loosely woven cream-colored linen in floral motifs, marked 1742 HVDK, sampler embroidery needlework images silk linen, textile embroidery rococo stitch bundle stitch embroidery of multicolored silk yarn on loosely woven cream-colored linen with hem border of 0.6 cm. It is possible that this hem is inlaid later because the embroidery partly falls on the hem. The actual size will not have been so much larger since the vignette with letters falls in the center of the canvas. Work has been done in rococo stitch or bundle stitch in more or less horizontal rows but with vertical center axis.
