Salt Creek Pupfish (Cyprinodon salinus salinus). Endemic to the Salt Creek in the Death Valley. Last known survivor of ancestral fish species that lived in a huge Ice Age lake that filled the bottom of Death Valley. Pupfishes now survive as ten different subspecies in extremely isolated waters.
