Saint Genevieve (d.500) - Patroness of Paris. Took veil at 15 after the death of her parents and moved to Paris. Made a personal sortie to gain supplies for the City during the siege of Paris by Attila the Hun. Encouraged Parisians to avert the approach of Attila by the power of fasting and prayer (with some success). The miracles of her relics made her famous and time and again the Parisians have evoked her in time of crisis. Date: 1920s
