The Royal Tour of Canada :Reception in Ottawa. Her Royal Highness Princess Elizabeth and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh now on a Royal Tour of Canada, were given a great welcome in Ottawa when they arrived for a two-day visit. They were received by the Governor General Viscount Alexander and the Canadian Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Louis Laurent, at Government House, where the Royal Couple attended a reception given in their honour, and which was attended by officials of the Canadian Government and diplomats of other countries.
