Rothschönberg, Röschenmundloch The Rothschönberger Stolln is a water solution tunnel of the Brander and Freiberg mining district. It was excavated from 1844 to 1882 and has a total length of 50.9 km with its ancillary facilities and is equipped with 8 light holes. The average gradient is 0.63 %. The clear width is 2.50 m, the clear height in the lower tunnel section (between Rothschönberg and the VII light hole) is 3.00 m and 1.50 m above the VII light hole. This means that the tunnel can be navigated by boat for inspection and maintenance purposes. The mouth, which allows the water to flow into the Triebisch, is located in the municipality of Klipphausen near the districts of Rothschönberg, Burkhardswalde and Munzig in the district of Meißen. The water flow rate is 685 litres per second (HHQ: 14, 0 mü/s on 12 August 2002 and NNQ: 80 l/s on 27 September 1942) .
