Rising In Minneapolis WPA Strike -- General view of the Riot that preceded the more violent disturbance in Minneapolis, July 14, at a WPA sewing project, when police tried to escort 100 non-striking women through a hostile group of pickets. A cloud of tear gas is seen rising from the scene of disturbance. The riot that took place shortly after this scene resulted in the fatal injury of one person, gunshot wounds to two others and injuries to at least six, including five policemen.
