"The Right-Hand Woman" - Mrs. Farmaner sawing out wood as a carpenter. Mrs. Farmaner aged 28, two years ago was evacuated with her two children to Idford near Newton Abbot. She found time hanging on her hands, so tried her hand at gardening, with very pleasing results. She then told the local builder that she would like to help with building and repairs to country property; he gave her a trial, and she is now the right hand woman, of Mr. G.
