Returns To Denmark -- The one-time Danish training ship Danmark, which has been used by the U.S. Coast Guard in training Cadets, left for Denmark Wednesday, Sept. 26, to be returned to that country with her Danish Master, Capt. Knud L. Hansen, still in command. The full-rigged ship, shown sailing into waters off Salem, Mass., last June, loaded with Cost Guard Cadets, was offered by Capt. Hansen to U.S. authorities immediately after the Pearl Harbor attack. She was built in the early 1930s as a training ship for Cadets of the Royal Danish Merchant Marine. September 26, 1945.
