The repair ship U.S.S. Vestal, twice bombed by the Japanese during their sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7th, 1941 is to keep her from sinking when she began to flood. The vestal has since been repaired. This photo has just been released by the Navy Department in Washington. February 4, 1943.
