Even so, he appears to have maintained in Thebes a program of growth and building first envisioned by his predecessor Nepherities and reaching its culmination in the reign of his successor Achoris. This block was obtained in Luxor and is very similar to one oriented in the opposite direction that had been reused in a village near Luxor and was acquired by Lepsius for Berlin. It has been conjectured to come from the restoration of the magazine for offerings to the south of the Sacred Lake at Karnak that was partly and perhaps wholly the work of Psammuthis.
