Redcross representative Roy Stains of East Prahran Victoria obtaining particulars of the next of kin from members or a Punjab Regiment who were captured in Malaya after having fought alongside Australians. They were then shipped as labor troops by the Japanese to Wewak, later escaping to the American forces. The Redcross Society notifies the relations of these on in Indic of their safety.
