Recording The Solar Eclipse - Our photograph shows the Swarthmore College, U.S.A. Expedition. The instruments including telescopes are housed in this building made of Nipa palm leaves. The roofing is absolutely water-tight and lasts for a year or more on native houses. The instruments were erected with a carefully osculated angle and direction for the few minutes of totality. February 26, 1945.
